Overview
We're looking for a motivated Web Designer / Developer to join our team at Hypha. You'll work alongside senior web developers to build and maintain websites and digital assets for a diverse roster of clients — primarily on the HubSpot CMS platform. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative, agency environment with real mentorship and hands-on client work from day one.
Responsibilities
- Building and updating front-end web pages and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Assisting with development and maintenance of custom HubSpot CMS modules and templates
- Performing routine site updates, quality assurance checks, and basic troubleshooting
- Creating / translating designs from Figma into clean, responsive code
- Supporting accessibility improvements and learning WCAG best practices on the job
- Collaborating with senior developers and project managers to meet client deadlines
- Learning and applying HubSpot tools, HubL templating, and HubDB as you grow in the role
Requirements
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Comfort with responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Ability to read and modify existing codebases, not just start from scratch
- Basic understanding of how the web works (browsers, HTTP, DNS, hosting)
- Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and workflows — this role involves a lot of on-the-job growth
- Strong communication skills and ability to ask good questions
Nice-To-Haves
- Any exposure to HubSpot CMS, HubL, or marketing CMS platforms in general
- Familiarity with JavaScript libraries or frameworks i.e., JQuery, Bootstrap, GSAP, React
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
- Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools like Copilot, Cursor, or Claude
- Portfolio, personal projects, or freelance work — we love seeing what you've built
What to Expect
You'll be mentored by experienced developers and won't be thrown in the deep end alone. We expect a learning curve and are invested in your growth. Over time, you'll take on more ownership of projects as your confidence builds. We work across a variety of industries — healthcare, finance, media, and more — so no two weeks look the same.
